HOME ROW EMOTIONS
"It's not mental illness; it's an emotion"
Emotions cause feelings and feelings create moods.
Emotions
There are 6 Primary Emotions,
each of us is grounded in and ruled by a singular Home Row Emotion. Yes, we change now and again, but the bottom line is that we are rooted in one particular emotion which is why Bret Martin coined the phrase Home Row Emotion.

Emotions come first, then feelings come after as the emotion chemicals go to work in our bodies. Then moods develop from a combination of feelings.

Below are pictures of the 6 Primary Emotions, and the feelings and moods associated with each of the 6 primary emotions.
